“Do you remember the 21st night of September?”
It’s hard not to think of that song when talking about Mic and Monica’s wedding day. And honestly, the lyric fits — because their September 21st celebration at South Glen Farm in Glencoe, Minnesota felt like one of those nights people talk about long after it’s over.
Tucked into the rolling fields, surrounded by friends, family and a whole lot of personality, these two built a wedding day that was equal parts heartfelt and wildly fun.
A ceremony entrance no one saw coming
From the start, it was clear Mic and Monica were going to do things their way.
The ushers wore kilts and greeted guests with beers as they found their seats, setting the tone before the ceremony even began. It immediately put people at ease — relaxed, smiling and ready for a good time.
It was playful, unexpected and completely true to their personalities. They weren’t trying to fit a wedding mold. They were just being themselves.
A South Glen Farm wedding with heart
South Glen Farm was a beautiful backdrop for the day. The space is surrounded by open countryside, which gives weddings there a peaceful, tucked-away feeling while still being polished and well run. The venue owners were organized, kind and clearly experienced in keeping a day flowing smoothly.
A dance floor that never slowed down
If there was one thing Mic and Monica prioritized, it was a good party. Their reception featured live music by Bluewater Kings Band and they absolutely delivered. A live band always brings a different energy than a playlist or DJ and this group kept the dance floor full all night.
Guests didn’t just dance — they committed. From a wedding videography perspective, that kind of energy is gold. The joy is real, the reactions are big and the memories last.
A wedding that felt like them
What stood out most about Mic and Monica’s wedding was how unapologetically personal it was. Kilts and beers down the aisle. Live music and a packed dance floor. A venue that welcomed everyone in.
Nothing felt staged. Nothing felt forced. It was a wedding built around fun, connection and making sure everyone had a great time — including themselves.
Those are the weddings that translate best to film. The ones where people are fully present and unafraid to show who they are.
And on the 21st night of September, that authenticity made the whole day feel like perfection.
