I’ve been working in video for over a decade and in the wedding world since 2019, but what matters more than timelines or experience is this: people trust me with moments they don’t want to forget. I’m grounded, observant and unbothered by chaos. I’m the person reminding you to breathe (and drink water), cracking a quiet joke when the nerves hit and noticing the little moments happening off to the side.
My goal is always the same: to create an environment where you can relax enough to be yourself — because that’s where the real stuff lives. My approach is calm, intuitive and deeply human. I pay attention to the in-between ... the glances, the laughter, the way people show up when they feel safe. Clients often tell me it felt like having a good friend there, not just someone with a camera. That’s intentional.
I’m a big, sappy nerd with a soft heart, a curious brain and a deep love for documenting people as they really are.
I’ve always been the one making home movies … long before it was a business. Something about capturing tiny, ordinary moments has always felt important to me, even when I didn’t have the language for why yet. Now I do.
I believe feelings matter. I believe memory matters. And I believe the smallest moments are usually the ones that end up meaning the most.
Time moving too fast genuinely scares me. I think that’s why I’m so drawn to this work. Filming families, couples and meaningful days feels like my way of slowing things down ... of saying this matters, and it deserves to be remembered.
Every film I make is a small act of preservation. A way of holding onto a season of life that won’t last forever.

Emily Isakson Photography is an incredibly talented photographer with decades of experience, and we work seamlessly as a unit (it helps that we’re best friends). We don’t over-direct or over-complicate things. We step in when you need guidance and step back when the moment speaks for itself.
We’re your hype team, your grounding presence and the people making sure you feel comfortable enough to actually enjoy yourself. We most often work together for wedding days, family photos, and portrait and couple sessions.
