Nessa & Mitchell’s Special Wedding at The Lynhall in Minneapolis

Bride and groom kissing with veil blowing in the wind at BF Nelson Park

Some weddings are big and bustling.

Others are small, sweet and full of heart.

Nessa and Mitchell’s wedding fell beautifully into the second category.

With around 50 of their closest people gathered, their day felt relaxed, joyful and deeply personal from start to finish.

A calm start in St. Paul

The day began at an Airbnb in St. Paul where Nessa and Mitchell got ready. The atmosphere was easygoing — laughter, quiet anticipation and those little in-between moments that make a wedding day feel real.

Getting ready off-site gave them space to settle into the day before the celebrations began.

Photos at BF Nelson Park

Before heading to the venue, we stopped at BF Nelson Park for family and group photos. It was the perfect transition between getting ready and the ceremony — a chance to be outside, move around and soak it all in.

Parks like this are great for wedding portraits because they add natural variety without feeling overly staged.

A Lynhall wedding done right

The ceremony and reception were both held at The Lynhall in Minneapolis, which made everything simple and connected. Guests didn’t have to travel between locations and the whole day flowed naturally.

The Lynhall truly shines as a Minneapolis wedding venue for intimate celebrations. The space feels warm and welcoming, and their team handles the details so couples can stay present.

And the food? Incredible.

The drinks? Just as pretty as they were delicious.

It’s the kind of place where the experience is built in.

Sweet, giggly and completely themselves

Nessa and Mitchell were so easy to film because they were fully themselves. Lots of smiles, giggles and natural affection — nothing forced, nothing performative.

Their joy was contagious. You could see how comfortable they were not just with each other, but with the people they chose to surround themselves with.

Why small weddings are so special

With about 50 guests, this wedding never felt rushed or overwhelming. Everyone there mattered. Every conversation had space. Every hug lasted a little longer.

Intimate weddings often allow couples to actually experience their day instead of racing through it. And from a videography perspective, that slower pace makes room for genuine moments.

Nessa and Mitchell’s wedding was a reminder that a beautiful day doesn’t need a huge guest list — it just needs the right people and the right energy.

And this one had plenty of both.
