The Brandes family session was a good reminder of what these films are really about.
Toddlers don’t follow plans. They run, they resist, they get messy — and honestly, that’s where the best moments live. The same goes for babies … minus the running. This session had all of it. Movement, a little chaos and even a runny nose or two. But that’s life right now for this family, and that’s exactly what I want to preserve.
We filmed this during a joint session alongside Emily Isakson at Honey Studio, which gave us a simple, relaxed space to just let things unfold. No pressure to perform or sit still—just room for the Brandes family to be themselves.
Because the goal isn’t perfection. It’s honesty.
Years from now, it won’t matter if everything looked polished. What will matter is what it felt like to be in this season — the energy, the unpredictability, the way your toddler needed to be chased instead of posed. The way your baby wanted to be held close.
That’s the story. And that’s what makes it yours.
