Some sessions feel bigger than just one day.
This one with the Isakson family happened while we were on vacation together in Florida — a slow evening on the beach, golden sunset light and a toddler who’s almost two, running right at the edge of it all.
Emily captured photos while I focused on video, letting the moments unfold as they always do.
I’ve been documenting this little guy’s life from the very beginning.
His mom’s maternity session.
His baby shower.
His newborn days.
His first birthday.
And now here we are — sandy toes, sunset light, and a whole new stage of personality.
There’s something really meaningful about not just capturing one milestone, but building a collection over time. Watching a family grow and being trusted to document each chapter as it comes.
At this point, it doesn’t feel like individual sessions anymore.
It feels like an archive.
A living, growing collection of who they are in each season — how he moves, how they interact, what life feels like right now.
And that’s what makes this work so special.
Not just capturing moments, but being invited back to keep telling the story.
